10 Ways To Become and Stay Happy

Sometimes it is really hard to to remain cool and happy. We experience stress which emerges not only from difficult life situation but also from certain people. However, most of our problems are made in our own head and as Scott R. Sanders looks for hope in his essays, I will also try to find some resources in life to draw energy from. It might be inspirational for you as well, because sometimes just little is enough to make us happy.
1. Try to be a better person every day
Ok, this one may sound kinda trivial. I suppose you've heard it throughout your whole life: ''Making others happy will make you
happy as well.'' And you were always like: ''Ok, whatever.'' But I must say that this is genuinely true. If you help other people
without a prospect of reward or the appreciation from others, you'll indeed benefit. Because you'll start to think highly about yourself and that's the whole point, isn't it? When we see ourselves doing good, we tend to believe that we deserve good as well, so we start to reward ourself. Then we never let others to treat us in a bad way. We stand up for ourselves and we also look for the better more important things in our lives.
2. Every day learn something new
Whether you need to brush up on some language you've forgotten a long time ago or you never really understood what was going on in the World War II, try to learn somethin new, look up new information or read some interesting book you bought some two moths ago and never really made time to actually open it. Knowledge is power, so make sure you're working every day on extending the information you need for your job and also some other pieces of information which have nothing to do with your field. The more topics you're able to cover, the more dimensional your mind and the more interesting talking with you.
3. Every day do something creative
We tend to fulfill our duties to school or work, our chores and the most necessary stuff. But what we tend to forget about is doing something creative. To create something new, to add some value to this work is actually be an essential part of human beings. Instead, we make only things lined up by others, to make sure we fulfill our duties. I'm not saying that education or work is not important, it is! But there's no need to commit every single moment of your life to things which someone else wants done. Every human being is creative. You might be thinking that you're not. But that's not true. Mostly it is educational system which at a certain point of our lives made us believe that we are not creative. But we are!! I cannot stress this one more. For example my art teacher at elementary school made herself clear that my pictures suck. Well they might as well have. But I was a little kid. All I needed was a little of encouragement. I've always known that I will never become an artist, but that doesn't mean that I can't draw and paint just for myself and my pleasure. Recently I've found out that I don't suck that much, I actually like my pictures. So if anybody tells you that you don't have talent for something, smile but don't take a sh*t about what others think (I'm sorry for being rude but I just hate when somebody destroys courage of little shy children). But back to the point :) just find anything you'd like to do. You don't have to paint or compose music. There are some other tips: you can make your blog or just simply take a journal or a piece of paper and write something. Eventually you can write your own novel. I found out that it's good to have some little small notebook where you can just quickly jot down some ideas of yours for later usage. Or you can rearrange your room, try origami.
4. Make strengths out of your weaknesses
It's pretty normal to have some weak points. Everybody has them. It's completely human. But you know what's superhuman? To work on it and make them disappear. When I was not good enough in something, when trying to fix it I often realised that it's nothing that hard and that I made it to look difficult only in my own head. Of course, we are not the same and every human being has a different kind of thinking. So a person good at math is not often good at art. But she/he can always push their limits just a little bit farther.
5 Say no to procrastination
Procrastination is an evil, we all know that. And that evil lady tried her tricks on all of us. We are just humans, but we can say no. It's ok to relax and unwind sometimes. But I just don't get it when some people say they planned to start study five hours ago and ended up on Facebook. This is not good. I know it's not easy to hear but trust me it's true. We need to have some self control, otherwise we won't be able to achieve anything. If you really need to study or work hard, just turn off you computer and mobile phone and finish it. Trust me, the most difficult thing is to start, then it gets easier and easier and you won't want to procrastinate again.
6. Work out
People need physical exercise, we were born to run and move. So no more execuses, find some sport that will suit you. There's plenty of them. You will look good, feel good and stay healthy. 3 in 1, so what are you waiting for?
7. Eat healthy
This is an obvious one, but I still see so many young people eating in fast foods and it really makes me sad. We live in a world where even very little children are already used to salty and spicy fried stuff without any nutrition value. And we need to change that! Not only because i care about you, but also because I want to be a wider variety of healthier restaurants in Czech Republic :) so make this happen.
8. Follow your dream
If somebody tells you that you don't have what it taked to become who you want to be or to do the job you'd like to do, don't really trust them. Just try it, believe in yourself. If it doesn't work out, ok, it doesn't matter, at least you've tried.
9. Don't be afraid of making mistakes
Try to avoid those big ones, but as far as the little ones are concerned don't be too harsh on yourself. Sometimes we are so afraid of losing that it disrupts our whole game. It ends up in us not even trying what we want because of the fear of failure. If you plan to attend a difficult college, it's obvious that it'll be hard and you may do some exams more than once. If you start a new job, it'll be difficult to really get into all the processes and working environment in the beginning, but if you're not doing anything you should in fear of screwing up something, you'll definitely screw it up in the end.

No, seriously...I couldn't think of the last one.
